Although EA canceled a Mandalorian shooter in development at Respawn Entertainment, a YouTuber has crafted the next-best thing using Bethesda’s Starfield and over 100 Star Wars mods.
YouTuber DeityVengy transformed Starfield into a Mandalorian-themed game by utilizing mods that replace the main character model with the Mandalorian suit, introduce Star Wars aliens, weapons, characters, and units, and even add a Star Wars-themed HUD. The gameplay showcases an AT-ST fight, a blast-off with Imperial Security, a battle with Purge Troopers, and more, demonstrating how well Starfield’s jetpack movement and shooting mechanics align with the Mandalorian experience.
DeityVengy mentioned that they incorporated nearly every Star Wars mod available for Starfield as a base and then proceeded with custom editing. “This is still a huge work in progress,” DeityVengy commented. “Every day I discover a mod or two to add, along with new mods being released daily. I can’t wait to see what the future holds with Bethesda’s upcoming Creation Kit. Hope to see you guys again in the future.”
In February, EA announced the shutdown of an early development Star Wars FPS action game as part of a shift towards its own brands and existing games. Little is known about this Star Wars FPS, but rumors suggested it featured a Mandalorian protagonist.
Currently, EA is working on several Star Wars video games, including Star Wars: Jedi 3 and a Star Wars strategy game. However, there is no known Mandalorian game in development, making these Starfield mods the best alternative for fans. Bethesda has announced that Starfield will receive a Creation Kit update, providing official modding support to enhance the game’s longevity, though no release date has been provided.
