The roadmaps for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Warzone have been unveiled, promising a vast array of free content along with events, challenges, and unlockable Camos. The launch trailer is available below, and a full overview is provided here.
The new roadmap includes detailed information on the previously teased Gundam collaboration, featuring the original RX-78-2, Char’s Zaku, and Witch From Mercury’s Aerial. Additionally, Activision is hinting at a special secret collaboration, sparking much speculation among fans.
The main highlight, however, is the return of Soap in what Activision describes as an effort to “honor his legacy.” Alongside two new Operators named Hammer and Void, the Season 4 Battle Pass will offer two Soap skins, with one being immediately available upon purchase.
Despite Soap’s popularity, some fans have mixed feelings about his inclusion in the Season 4 Battle Pass. YouTuber HiddenXperia commented, “Once again, Call of Duty resurrects an objectively dead character purely to sell skins. Soap was literally shot in the head in MWIII’s (awful) Campaign, and now he’s magically alive. I’m glad I played CoD before it was ruined by aggressive live service.”
Modern Warfare III will receive three new core 6v6 maps, including one set in Tokyo, along with the introduction of Demolition, Hyper Cranked, Havoc, new Killstreakers, and other features.
For Warzone, Season 4 will bring updates to the Urzikstan Bunker and the Gulag, along with a new vehicle, the Polaris RZR. The Tactical Sprint Boots have generated excitement among fans, offering an “unlimited increase in your Tactical Sprint Speed, and a reduction in fall damage.”
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Warzone are scheduled for release on May 29.
